We believe that there is a tremendous opportunity in recycling ‘end of life vehicles’ in a clean and environment friendly way. The current setup for the same in the country is extremely inefficient and causes damage to the environment. With the twin objectives of reducing pollution and making our roads safer, we have established India’s maiden organized auto shredding venture to recycle vehicles in a clean and efficient way at Greater Noida. Under the brand name ‘CERO’, which means zero in Spanish, we aim to set an example of a system with Zero pollution, Zero wastage and Zero dependence on metal scraps import.
Recycling
Under clean recycling services, we offer hassle-free collection of end of life vehicles for our customers which are then taken to our state-of-the-art facility and depolluted and dismantled. The vehicle is then scraped for various types of metals which are traded separately. This way, we reduce our dependency on steel scrap imports as steel makes up to 70% of the vehicle’s body. This enterprise is also looking to get more avenues of employment and steering towards the vision of ‘Make in India’.
Mahindra MSTC Recycling
Mahindra Accelo (previously known as ‘Mahindra Intertrade’) and MSTC Ltd. (a Government of India Enterprise) have joined hands and established Cero to achieve the goals of Zero pollution and Zero wastage. This is India’s maiden organized auto shredding venture and vehicle recycling unit. It recycles specialised steels and other non-ferrous metals that are present in automobiles. Recycling of old vehicles not only helps clean the air, it also makes our roads safer. With the steel that is gathered, it also aims at reducing India’s dependence on steel scrap imports.
